What are metalcraft products made from?
Metalcraft products are laser cut from Premium 3mm Corten® steel.
What is Corten® Steel?
Premium Corten® Steel is weather resistant. Due to its durability, it is renowned for its use in exterior architecture. A beautiful golden patina starts to form within 3-6 months of being placed in the perfect position in your chosen spot. The patina changes with the seasons and provides a layer of protection which seals and preserves the steel so MetalCraft products endure for decades.
Will my MetalCraft products rust?
Our Metalcraft products are carefully cut from Premium Corten® Steel so yes, they do rust, but they won't disintegrate as it is a weathering steel; the patina seals in the steel offering lasting protection against environmental conditions.
Why does my MetalCraft product change colour?
Once placed outside, our MetalCraft products develop a patina which gives the appearance of 'changing colour'; this patina develops uniformly over the product and darkens over time. Our customers agree that our products look incredible!
