About Swallows:

The swallow is a migratory bird which winters in South Africa and arrives back in the UK in March. They feed off insects on the wing. They are easily recognised by their swooping flight. They have a beautiful russet-coloured throat. They often return to the same site where they bred the previous year. They tend to nest under bridges and buildings.
